Check out our latest work!

In our newest Developmental Cell paper, we show how Wnt signaling is modulated by extracellular carriers that release lipidated WNT morphogens from producing cells and deliver them to responding cells.

Welcome Diego!

Diego Heras Márquez joins us from Complutense University of Madrid, Spain for a three-month long internship. He is a PhD student from Dr. Sara García-Linares' lab.

Congratulations Taciani!

Taci was named as a 2024 Goldberg Fellow in the Department of Cell Biology, HMS, for her work to understand the release and spread of Wnt ligands from producing cells to activate Wnt signaling in the responding cells.

Welcome Dick!

Dick is originally from the south of the Netherlands and joins the lab as a Research Associate from the University of Cambridge. He's interested in membrane trafficking and will explore cell signaling pathways with genetic screens.

Welcome back Jingjing!

Jingjing joins the lab as a graduate student from the Biological & Biomedical Sciences (BBS) program. Her work as a Salic lab intern student in 2019 pioneered the lab's studies in the WNT signaling pathway.

Welcome to Anan!

Anan joins the lab as a postdoc, co-mentored by Dr. Adrian Salic and Dr. Tim Mitchison. Anan is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His research will focus on how coronavirus organizes viral replication factory in host cells during infection.

Congratulations Brad!

Congratulations Dr. Wierbowski for successfully defending his PhD dissertation "Molecular mechanisms of Sonic hedgehog release and delivery" today!

Welcome to Charlene!

Charlene starts as a post-doctoral research fellow. She is from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She is interested in membrane protein biochemistry and will be working on the mechanisms that underlie Hedgehog signaling.

Welcome to Charlotte!

Welcome to Charlotte, a master's student intern hailing from the University of Namur, Belgium!
